The Time Card Calculator helps you track your work hours, calculate overtime, and determine your total earnings based on your daily work schedule. It automatically separates regular hours from overtime and calculates your pay accordingly.
Understanding the Interface
The calculator has three main sections:
1. Settings Section (⚙️)
- Enter your hourly rate
- Set overtime multiplier
- Define regular hours per day
- Specify number of days worked
2. Daily Time Entries Section (📅)
- Enter date for each day
- Enter start time
- Enter end time
- Enter break duration in minutes

Step-by-Step Usage of Time Card Calculator
Step 1: Enter Hourly Rate
What to do:
- Look for “Hourly Rate ($)” field
- Enter your hourly wage
- Example: If you earn $25.50 per hour, type 25.50
Important:
- Use decimal format (25.50, not $25.50)
- Do not enter zero or negative values
Step 2: Enter Overtime Multiplier
What to do:
- Look for “Overtime Multiplier” field
- Enter the overtime rate
- Default value: 1.5 (time-and-a-half)
Common Examples:
- 1.5 = Time-and-a-half (most common)
- 2.0 = Double time
- 1.25 = 25% extra pay
What it means:
- If your hourly rate is $25 and multiplier is 1.5
- Overtime pay = $25 × 1.5 = $37.50 per hour
Step 3: Enter Regular Hours Per Day
What to do:
- Look for “Regular Hours Per Day” field
- Enter standard work hours per day
- Default: 8 hours
Common values:
- 8 hours (standard full-time job)
- 4 hours (part-time)

What it means:
- Any hours ABOVE this amount are overtime
- Example: Work 10 hours with 8 regular limit = 2 hours overtime

What to do:
- Look for “Number of Days Worked” field
- Enter how many days you worked this week/period

Important:
- Minimum: 1 day
- Maximum: 31 days
- Enter exact number of days you actually worked

- One box appears for each day
- Boxes pre-fill with current date and default times

For each day worked, you need to enter:
Date Field:
- Click on the date field
- A calendar picker appears
- Select the correct date
- Or type the date manually (YYYY-MM-DD format)
Start Time Field:
- Click on the time field
- Enter when you started work
- Format: 24-hour (09:00 for 9 AM, 17:00 for 5 PM)
- Or click hour/minute spinners to adjust
End Time Field:
- Click on the time field
- Enter when you finished work
- Format: 24-hour time
- Example: 17:00 for 5 PM
Break Field:
- Enter break time in minutes
- Example: 60 for 1 hour lunch break
- Example: 30 for 30 minute break
- Example: 90 for 1.5 hour break
- Enter 0 if no break

The biggest number at the top is your total pay for the period

Quick Stats (4 boxes)
- Total Hours – All hours worked (including breaks deducted)
- Regular Hours – Hours at regular rate
- Overtime Hours – Hours at overtime rate
- Hourly Rate – Your hourly wage
Pay Breakdown Table
Regular Hours Row:
- Shows: Regular hours × hourly rate = regular pay
- Example: 35 hrs @ $25.00 = $875.00
Overtime Hours Row:
- Shows: Overtime hours × hourly rate × multiplier = overtime pay
- Example: 5 hrs @ $25.00 x 1.5 = $187.50
Total Pay Row:
- Shows final amount you earned
- Calculation: Regular pay + Overtime pay

Shows all your daily work entries:
- Date
- Start time
- End time
- Break minutes
